I just had to post and say Thanks to Nick for PHP Accelerator. We had a
problem with our server today and as a result we disabled PHPA... Once we
discovered the problem wasn't PHPA we re-enabled it, and the loadavg on our
dual PIII850 dropped from around 15 (and starting to show it) to about 2.75
and flying along!! If you'd told me in advertising blurb that it could do
that, I would have laughed at you... But its excellent!
 
The site is http://www.uktrainsim.com (amongst others, but thats the
busiest) and serves 1.5 million pages a month, about 6 million hits and
growing rapidly!
